Set atop a bluff overlooking the Cape Cod National Seashore sits a newly constructed home that is the culmination of a decade-long dream and a four-year labor of love. Designed to blend seamlessly with the site’s natural beauty, materials were selected to weather naturally.
Inside, clean-lined architecture creates the canvas to which warm materials, an earthy color palette, natural textures and organic silhouettes are layered.
The existing house—which had to be replaced—came with two sets of murals painted by local artist Vernon Smith in 1935. Every element was designed and chosen for its enduring properties that will patina and grow more beautiful as time passes, resulting in a home worthy of its breathtaking setting.
